Storyboard Blog

Hello, my group has been working diligently and we have produced this storyboard blog together!

First Slide:

The opening scene is to introduce the audience to our product. For this commercial, it will be the Apple Macbook. We will film a student working on a MacBook as a wide shot. This scene is crucial to emphasize the fact that Macbooks are useful to people of all ages and are easy to use in public spaces as well. This scene creates a story for the commercial.


Second Slide:

In the second scene, our main goal was to show different tasks the Macbook can accomplish. In this scene, we include the act of using the computer and a student's everyday activities. Since the commercial will be shot at school, the actors will be wearing casual clothing. Editing will incorporate an insert shot of what the student is doing on their Macbook. 


Third Slide:

Since the commercial is from a student's perspective, the next scene will show the student placing their laptop into their backpack for easy transportation around the school. This will be a close-up shot of the student and the shot will also include when the student leaves the room.


Fourth Slide:

This fourth scene will be a tracking shot of a second student walking past the first student. The main location for this scene will be the senior courtyard. The tracking shot helps easily segway to the scene of the next student who is also completing different tasks on a Macbook. 


Fifth Slide:

The fifth scene will show the second student actor using the MacBook in a different way such as listening to music. The shot used will be a cutaway shot. After that shot is made an ending scene of the apple logo and a zoom-out scene.

Our Pitch Blog

A girl is one of few to survive the zombie apocalypse. She runs into another non-infected human and they have to get through together. Our first pitch is unique from the commonly chosen ideas. It would help in showing off creativity and originality. While also providing a well-thought-out and evolved finished project. Although the mis-en-scene would be difficult to accomplish for any of the scenes. Zombie make-up and attire would have to research, bought, and learned. Plus the fact that none of us leave in an area that would suit this project whether that be a woods or generally dark area. It emphasizes the idea that this girl is one of the few, which would force us to need backup actors to play the zombies. Not only would we have to find multiple actors for only a few scenes, but we would also have to work around their schedule and pay extra supplies for their make-up and costume. Film Review

 The project is almost finished after a month of filming, re-filming, and editing. We are relieved and thankful that this project is nearly completed. The entire process of creating the video was enjoyable for us. Although some aspects, such as filming, were more challenging. The initial planning, storyboarding, and filming, in our opinion, were the best parts of the entire endeavor. Everyone was allowed to express their innovative thoughts here, and we all knew what to do. The editing process, on the other hand, was not as simple. Unfortunately, only one of our team members was capable of editing and assembling the music video. The rest of us had no choice but to sit and watch what our groupmate were doing. It appears that certain scenes will need to be reshot. It will need to be altered, whether because of the length of the lighting. The transitions in the editing must be examined and re-examined. I'm sure there are other alternatives that would better suit the film's story....
