The filming continues!
Hello everyone, as I mentioned in the previous blog, we still had to discuss if extra footage was necessary. Unfortunately, we did not have a sufficient amount of footage and needed another day to film. Luckily, we were prepared for something like this and created a backup plan. Our plan was to wrap up the shots we were missing, but this did have a couple complications. I did not think about how we would make it look like the same day, and we needed to keep the same clothes for visual effect. Eventually, I figured it out and we wore similar clothes to the ones we used during the first day of filming. After reviewing the footage I noticed that we were not properly displaying the emotions that would help set the mood for the video. I suggested that we all try to act happier than we did during the first day of filming so it could fit the "Good Days" vibes we wanted to achieve. Another group member suggested they film the three actors getting on the ride so they can get a broader shot of us on the ride. We were basically getting small details we missed, such as shots of us talking or eating. The biggest thing we accidentally missed was getting multiple shots of us purchasing the fair food and eating it. These shots were important because they help us close out the music video and show that we are wrapping our day up. While we were purchasing food, we came across a couple of issues relating to our funds. Most of us had brought our cards, and the food stands mostly took cash so we weren't able to purchase our first choices. This was not too big of a deal because we eventually found a stand that accepted cards and we were able to get the food so we could incorporate it into our finishing shots. I decided that it would look best if we all shared one plate of fried oreos to make our friend group seem close and comfortable around each other. I also noticed that we needed to retake some shots of us playing games during the fair because the shots were not stable and they looked blurry. One of my team members suggest we play a game where we won every time so we would not waste money. This was incredibly smart, and luckily it was one of the last things we needed done. We got all of the footage we needed, so we are ready to edit!
