The editing is finished!

Hello everyone, as you are probably are aware today is the final day of editing! We ran into an unforeseen issue that caused our editing process to be delayed. Unfortunately, we had recorded far too much footage, which did not match the concept. We had taken this additional film to include new sequences, but it ran over the time restriction, causing our film to be out of sync with the storyboard. The simple option would be to remove these segments, but we felt that they added to the overall quality of our film. As a result, I proposed that we cut several clips to make way for an additional scenario. Our editor Mia agreed with my suggestion and deleted footage to allow for the inclusion of the extra sequence in the final cut. I wanted to maintain our clips in chronological sequence since it adds to the suspense and allows viewers to follow the events of the day. We ended up deleting more sequences that were not essential to the primary plot and altering some of the storyboard elements. Because we taped several scenes for too long, I discovered we misjudged how much time we had for the video. We've had to adjust to a variety of conditions throughout this project, thus this snag didn't bother my team or me. We were able to meticulously pick footage and combine it in the cleanest way possible by splitting the editing into two days. Because of our attention to detail and camera quality, the music video appears to be highly professional. We were able to acquire numerous photos that were stable or had little to no camera shake because we had extra material. We had several weather concerns while filming, so having stable pictures was something we were concerned about. I assisted Mia with synchronizing the music with the footage, bringing us very close to completing the film. iMovie has been a dream to work with throughout the editing process, and I'm happy to report that the film is nearly finished. My team and I have gone over the films several times to ensure that they meet our expectations. Editing hasn't been too bad for the most part, and I'm glad it's gone. We can't wait for everyone to see the finished product, so look for our music video in the upcoming blog!
