Film Review Revisions!

The film review definitely brought a lot of attention to issues within our film that we wanted to rectifiy right away! Our biggest priority when creating this film was making it better than previous projects so our audience could enjoy it. The issues we found when doing the film review included reshooting, fixing transitions, and following the theme. Reshooting was quite difficult because we had to schedule a day to get the scenes done and have everyone wear the same thing from before. Some members had trouble getting a ride so we were on limited time, but we worked with what we had and ultimately got it done. We had to compare the new footage to our old footage to make sure proper changes occurred and we wouldn't need to refilm anything again. The second issue was the transitions used for the film while we were editing. Our editor used the same transition throughout the whole film so things looked repetitive and unprofessional. This was not her fault because we should have given our input when she was picking transitions which is what we did this time around. We were able to pick from a variety of transitions this time to make the film more enjoyable and movie-like. Our last and final issue was following our theme which was "Thriller". Unfortunately, after we reviewed the footage we felt like some of the films did not give off thriller vibes. Luckily, we were able to refilm some parts so we were able to fix this issue by giving our actors better and more detailed instructions. Our plan to make the film fit the genre a bit better was gonna be through our editing. Music, transitions, and lighting is a great way to steer our film towards thriller vibes. We have picked out the perfect music and have worked with the shots to make sure the lighting lines up throughout the scenes. At first, we felt discouraged because there were issues when we did the film review since we always strive for perfection. I would not have been able to do this without my team because their patience and dedication are like no other which ended up inspiring me to finish our revisions together. My team has worked hard to ensure the audience leaves with a great impression and I hope that our efforts will be demonstrated through our film! I am thankful for the lessons I have learned from this experience!
